So Im sure you've figured out by now that it better to feed your snakes in a separate container without substrate it also keeps you tank cleaner and keeps you snake from thinking your giving him food every time you stick you hand in the tank.

@elizabethlea27 I've got two boas, 2 corns and a spider ball python. I leave them to settle after feeding & before moving with no strikes or signs of stress but will take note for when when they're bigger. If things change then I may change my methods. My boas change once in the separate tubs as they know foods coming. When I open their vivs they don't react as they know that no feed go's in to their vivs, but who's to say this won't change, time will tell. Each to their own but thats what I do

I feed in a separate tub, no substrate to be eaten and no food associated with where they live.

@77WIDEBOY With boas and older corns that inevitably leads to getting bitten while snakes are in feeding mode (ESPECIALLY BOAS), and stresses them to be moved with food newly eaten. Plus, with more than a couple snakes (I have about 9) that is a huge fiasco. I feed in-enclosure, they usually do not ingest substrate now that they are back on aspen, if there is any stuck in their mouths after they are done I take tongs and quickly brush it off. Being used to me, they don't mind.
