  • @tomthefunky yes yes yes! this man is brilliant! like those peanut commercial things!

  • If David doesn't want to reform the band that's fine. I can think of another David who would be a fantastic replacement..... Hasselhoff.

  • @MoveOverCasanova hahaha...you made my day and I lauged when thinking of your post while on tube today..people besid e me just got a bit frozen...lol...sorry...just tis so funny to link Chris with Clinton...

  • @RitualEcho No, no one should sing a Talking Head shong but David Byrne, on penalty of death.

  • @Dolemite91 No way ... you cannot say that if you know Talking Heads.

  • @Dolemite91 I agree with you in spirit, Tina could never have been the star Byrne was. She had the looks and the talent but not the ability to be a personality. If you hear her in interviews, she takes uptight nerdiness to a whole new level. Byrne was uptight and nerdy but in an appealing way, at least on stage. However TH would not have been TH without Tina's bass, Byrne's solo music is OK but not as musically interesting. Yet it's true that the frontperson usually "is the band" for PR.

  • @ladypeinforte Well, let's be a bit honest here, I think David Byrne to an extent WAS the band. He was the persona of the band, that weird, quirky style. Of course the other musicians were good in their own right, but to be honest, you could've had anyone playing in the background. David Byrne wrote most of the lyrics to their songs and his vocals are the defining characteristic of that band. Although that was a different story when touring with their Afro Funk outfit as well as Adrian Belew.

  • @MoveOverCasanova Holy shit, I was about to say the exact same thing! LOL

  • Would love to see Talking Heads performing live with Shaun Ryder and Bez.

Maybe Bez singing "Psycho Killer" with David Byrne on maracas :)
