Pretty self-explanatory. Elizabeth is asking Darcy not to expect her to change for him. My first video to an "older" song, but I felt it fit the subject matter.

As always, my only recompense is your kind comments and ratings. I own nothing but the concept and editing. Rights to all works a held by their respective authors.

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! Had no idea the lovely and talented Petula Clark had recorded her own version of this 1960's classic tune! It's always been one of my favorite songs. Sheer music magic! And the movie images are pretty cool too! THANKS so much for posting this! You have MADE my day! CHEERS, mate! :)

  • @JubalCalif Isn't it a wonderful version of her song? Thanks for enjoying my vid.

  • At first glance a strange combination... Petula Clark, country song, Jane Austin...but very successful. Very artistic. Thank you.

  • No, thank you. :D

  • Xacu sent this to me,I've never heard this song before,I like the transitions you've used in this vid,and your editing is lovely, the quick succession of clips in parts of this vid could have jarred, but they really flowed along nicely because of the transitions your good choice of transitions 5 stars Y.

  • Thank you very much (and Xacu, too :D)! Burt Bacharach is known for changes in tempo, rhythm and even musical timing (from 2/4 to 3/3) in the same song. So I tried to capture that by changing between soft fades and more abrupt wipes as the song changed. I am glad you think I was successful.

  • Me ha gustado mucho, y la música también años sin oír a Petula. Muy bonito.
