Peter was a seminary-trained minister from a well-to-do California family. When his parents died, his brother somehow cut Peter out of the substantial estate. Not long after, Peter returned home to find his wife in their bed with his brother. Turning to drugs, he somehow ended up homeless in Atlanta. Pastor Larry tells me that the volunteers in the Eagles Nest clothing closet have been asked to set aside suits for Peter, because he refuses to wear anything else. Here he is seen in a disagreement with the young man on the left end of the tailgate. Despite being a notorious crack addict himself, Peter has just exhorted the young man to repent of his drug addiction. The young man, in turn, points out that Peter is in no position to judge him, being addicted to the same drug himself. Peter explained that he has been commanded by God to smoke crack so that he can minister among the addicts of Atlanta's inner city. Near the end of the video, a saddened Pastor Harold (in the red shirt) gets up from the tailgate and is overheard to mutter, "That crack is talkin' this mornin'."
