Synaesthete - Gameplay Demo 1

Synaesthete is a revolutionary music-arcade shooter. Music, actions and visuals are all linked and necessary for successful game play. It has been developed by my teammates at team Rolling Without Slipping for the DigiPen Institute of Technology for the past year.

This video shows off one of the earlier levels in the game, with a machinery theme. Also shown is the climatic battle with the Voxel King.

Couldn't even attempt to play this. Every note, every change and sound has it's own image and colors. There are thousands of them in this thing. Cool enough to watch but forget playing it.

I tend to wander through related videos and was watching a clip from a documentary on synaesthesia when this came up on the related list. My synaesthesia is rather mild, I see colours with all sound almost like a hue change on my vision, occasionally when the sound is intense (like good music), I see more concentrated colour in the centre of my vision, almost like a mist. Strangely, "white noise" actually is white, as is random noise, as though all the colours cancel out.

I would LOVE to see Daft Punk's "Around the World" used in a stage.. or any of their music! It would fit so well. They need to collaborate and put out more stages.

I like to play that, it's like to play Guitar hero for me... I really wanted to fell that thing but it's just a cool game for me :/ I would like much to say that i fell something playng that. But the game is good

I have synaesthesia, the music playing is pink to me, yet the game is blue & green.
