I believe that nationalism, and religion are outdated systems... in the end we are all out of Africa, and share much more in common in genetic terms... it is just that we pass bullshit to our children lacking proper skepticism.

@omnikittens Yes actually I have to agree with the stereotypical picture of a Finn who likes to talk about the Second World War and likes his nationalistic heroes... never does he mention that there were relocation camps in Finland and the expansion of Finland was based on pseudoscientific race rhetoric in a book Finnlands Lebensraum by Eino Jutikkala and Väinö Auer... a subject that is avoided when history is taught in schools.

@omnikittens B. What does that have do with anything? I don't consider myself a person belonging to any nationality... nationalism is a product of cultural evolution, and the human tendency to dominate where possible. If anything I'm human like you.

D. Basing your reality on superstitions like religions is just stupid. There is no scientific evidence to support their conclusions. What do you mean by this "goals"? What I would like to see is a world with less conflict....

A. You'd be surprised to learn how much I know about the "beginnings of the state of Israel" in particular and history in general.

B. I know quite a bit about the Fins too.

@omnikittens I think that everybody should have a course on the beginnings of the state of Israel. It would clear up things quite a lot. Another good author is Michael Berenbaum (who is also a rabbi) shares very good insight on the matter. I have also attended a lecture by a Auschwitz survivor. I'm also convinced that Sinchon was real, but not as how it really happened. There are numerous genocides that are forgotten. Encyclopedia of Genocide and Crimes Against Humanity are good volumes on these
