In fact, there's a theory on tvtropes.org that says the kids are all orphans who - save fer Peppermint and Raspberry - had their painful memories erased. That would sure explain a lot. Especially, as you exploited in yer fanfic, why Here Comes Pupcake has continuity issues with the first ep.
