I have Turner Syndrome, a rare chromosomal disorder that only effects 1 in every 2,500 live female births. It can be fatal, but mainly not... my sister has Down Syndrome, as well... I like this idea!

One of the causes of infant mortality in Virginia is reckless medical care and the Virginia Board of Medicine closing their eyes and doing nothing. Maybe if we could get rid of some of the corrupt medical boards and governors protecting them, then perhaps doctors could be held accountable, which would lead to better medical care and less preventable deaths of infants. Maybe also our government could devote funds to this important cause rather than STDs in the stimulus package.

If not for the research of you all, my baby girl would not be here today. Born at 1 lb 5 oz, she was not given a very good chance of survival, but thanks to an injection of surfactant and everything that the doctors did - she's here today - a happy, mostly healthy 1 year old! I am forever grateful for you March of Dimes and I will walk EVERY year for it!
