Naruto Theme - Flute/Whistle

Look out YouTube, here's another flutist!

This was recorded in the forth year I've been playing the flute and I'd bought the whistle a few months before. I don't have the music for this piece as I learn most of my songs by ear and I didn't even try to write down the whistle part!

My flute is a used Gemeinhardt 52SP just like this one:

only a little more...used. And for my whistle, it's just a cheap little "Clarke" in D that I saw at Eckroth but I am now the proud owner of an Abel, professional quality, Whistle.

I don't usually go posting this everywhere but if you cared enough to read the "more" than you clearly deserve to know. ;)

I was planning on majoring in music when I graduated high school in '09, however, during my last month as a senior I developed severe carpal tunnel in my left wrist. I can no longer play my flute or my penny whistle or even my guitar because of this and so, for the past couple of years, I gave up on music.

Recently I went on a mad search for a musical instrument that I could play without the constant pain. Harmonica was a possibility but my family voted it too obnoxious...Ukulele is showing promise so long as I don't overdue it, but so far I think my best bet at getting into music again is an instrument that was under my nose the whole time but for some reason got ignored.

My piccolo.

I assumed that the piccolo would be worse than my flute since it's so much smaller but, it turns out, it aligns my wrist in just the right way that it doesn't bother me!

I don't think I'll ever go into music professionally due to my wrist problems (I'm actually getting a degree in video games instead ;D), but I would love to post some more videos here on YouTube! Let me know if y'all have any requests and I'll see what I can do; bonus points if you know where to find either the sheet music or the midi!

@tristanthepokemon I assure you, young Tristan, the computer was not kept in a very public part of the house anyways. However, if it would make you feel better, I'll have you know that it actually isn't that messy, just cluttered. What you're likely looking at is a crap load of costumes on the clothing rack combined with my dad's business stuff :) Thanks for watching and if it really bothers you that much I advise minimizing the window and just listening to the music ;)

Hey, just wanted to say, great video! it's really hard to find someone playing the whistle part, and (i dunno, will this sound weird? O_O) I played and paused it continuously and managed to work out the notes for you whistle, so i wrote them down so i can play it (i'm a flautist too ^_^) as i found the sheet music for this song, but there was never a whistle part, so, with every fibre of my being, THANK-YOU for being an awesome musician! and good luck for the future! :D

I'm glad I could help you out :D In my opinion the whistle part is the best part of the song and is why I wanted to learn to play it in the first place! I know I didn't quite do it justice but it was fun! My notes aren't *exactly* the same as the original (I don't think) so you could probably listen to the original and adjust it a little to make it better if you want :)

Listen, I've been playing WoW since before BC was even announced, so you might think twice about using the "newb" spelling which implies lack of experience as opposed to the insult variants "noob"/"n00b"/"nub". And a little tip for next time you decide to troll: type everything out BEFORE you hit post, because calling someone a NEWB three times in a row kind of makes it more amusing than annoying ;) lol xD

numero uno: THat was just AMAZING!!!!! second: where did you find the sheet music for the whistle?? I'm sorry if this question annoys you, but I need to know lol... That was amazing... and I'm sorry to hear about your carpal tunnel in your wrist... You are a really good player and it's good to know that you have found the piccolo!!!
