He needs to read THIRTEENTH APOSTLE: THE COMING TRANSUBSTANTIATION, perhaps first to view on YOUTUBE The Real Reason Why People Defend Religion..........while I am on a rant, also, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism, Islam are NOT religions............
Something that doesn't sit well with me, which he mentioned in one of his books as well, is that - something has gone wrong with the idea of religion & spirality going away "pretty quickly".
What is "quickly"? apparently a few hundren years. Lets convert that into generations? 7-9 generations?
Evolving ideas is a very slow process and it will certainly take longer than a few hundred years to change the 2200+ years of scripture and pre-decided ideas placed upon the next generation.
criticism to rotten parts of a religion is ok if it's constructive criticism, but if one part is rotten, will you throw up the whole apple? Religion is old phenomena and quite complex. Having that in mind (not superficial one) you cant docket it with ''bullshit'' or some similar ''sophistical'' word
Ambiguously - not so clear...cause when we talk about God we talk according to mataphysical category. Meta - physics : ''above''-nature. so there is a difference in methodology which is used by scientist or by theologian. Science works with nature, theology goes beyond. Furthermore, in (on ex.) quantum physics there's no evidence for every theory, for some things they just now that they are like that, but they can't prove it (maybe they will when they'll have properly equipment)...
The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle, in a nutshell, states 'The more precisely
the POSITION is determined, the less precisely the MOMENTUM is known'. The 5 senses do not define reality alone; you can not see, hear, feel, taste or touch quantum mechanics in any quantifyable nature, but there's no scientist who can refute the existence of these, and, in fact, their impact on reality is essential to keeping it intact, the very fabric of reality. So can it be with God. Ambiguously clear...
Dear Mr. Newberg...............please watch, on YOUTUBE, this fellow Pennsylvanians video entitled The Real Reason Why People Defend Religion and you will begin to understand, even more, why the brain is, as you say 'hard wired' for religious experiences............Thank You, Michael Jude
@PineAppleEx420 But the box is the 5 senses. I thought thinking outside of the box meant thinking outside of the typical normal experience. EH? That's where creativity and new ideas come from... out of abstract. What you really mean is stay inside the box. Keep the box closed. Keep the mind closed.
