Gary's contributions to national radon standards, science and outreach are renowned nationally. Gary's experience and SPPI Certification for whole house inspection indicates his unique contribution to these efforts.

Gary's direct participation has included: * AARST (American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists); o National Secretary 1995-2001 o Current Member of the national AARST Technical and Science Committee * EPA recognized training centers; A history of aiding or conducting classes when called upon in conjunction with the Midwest University Radon Consortium (MURC), Southern Regional Radon Training Center and other education outreach; # Radon Continueing Education # Radon Measurement and Mitigation Courses # Education for radon in schools # Education for home builders * Standards organizations such as ASTM, ANSI and the AARST Consortium on National Radon Standards; o Current Chair of the Executive Stakeholder Committee for the AARST Consortium on National Radon Standards * Radon Proficiency Programs; o Member of the NEHA-NRPP Policy Advisory and Technical Review Boards * State radiation programs; o Member of CRCPD since 1988 and active advisor to CRCPD E-25 Radon Committee. * Homes Inspection organizations. o Twice President of SPPI (The Society of Professional Property Inspectors) in the Kansas City Area. o Has served as a member of the Board of KAREI (Kansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors) where Kansas inspectors have joined around the table inluding members from ASHI, NAHI, NACHI, SPPI and more.
