See the July 22 09 eclipse as seen from "DISH Earth" Note time at the bottom of the screen.... The shadow starts showing a little before midnight on July 21 09. The image seen is the earth (seen as a crescent, with the United States in the darkness) At about 00:09 07-22-09 the small dot of the shadow will be seen starting to cross the bright area of the Earth. this video has been run at 15 times the 'real time' speed. After the shadow has passed over the earth and disappears into the darkness of the Earth.. the video is reversed and played forward at higher speeds so the shadow movement can be seen clearly.

  • HINT... watch the time bar at the bottom (in black) for real time. The time (in blue) will show 4:09:36 when the eclipes starts and 3:32:24 at the end

    the uTube vidio time is 38 sec at start of shadow. and ends at 1:54 (after there is rev. & fwd play of the shadow area)
