I know the traditional way to play this is in drop D, but recently I've been doing it in double-drop D - both of those ways I find difficult to sing. So this is in double-drop C I guess - ie D-modal down a step. Sounds like a nasty disease! Some of the vocal still strained, but I prefer it to the earlier version. The song is special to me as it was one of the first I learned to play where the guitar at least sounded something like the original. And I used to play it to my daughter when she was a toddler, and she would dance around and laugh ... now of course it's 'shut up Dad', which is slightly better than my wife's 'is somebody being ill' as soon as I start to try to sing!

  • I guess once a song becomes yours, it is like a part of you.

Did a good job, but no one will ever do it like Neil Young. He's magical.

  • No I agree this isn't one of my best covers I don't know why it's got so many views. I've been doing original stuff lately. My band's (The Candy Twins) new download single A Younger Crowd has just been made a of The Sun newspaper's ten 'hot tracks' of the week. It's on thecandytwins channel. Cheers.

  • "GOOD ONE MATE" !

  • Many thanks indeed for the lovely comments - sorry you ended up posting twice - I was getting too much porn spam a few months ago so had to make comments approval only. cheers!

  • very bad

  • The reason it's got so many views is because its a damned nice cover. You don't try to compete with Neil Young's version. You give your own interpretation of the song. In way what the song meant to you.

  • works for me and i've only had 8 buds

  • "Good one Mate"! I'm a real N.Y fanatic and sometimes it's excruciating for me to hear people trying to sing it 'exactly' as Neil sings it, and it's great to hear you do it in

your 'own' style even if it's not technically

correct. But hey, I love your version and keep

laying it down man! Maybe you should ask your

wife and daughter to join in instead of telling you to shut up! "Four strong Winds' maybe?

  • gotta love the family support :P

well dude, this is really well done :)

  • muy buena very good
