I was born in '65 so I missed the fun in this one. Heard lots of stories though growing up.
I grew up in Lockport and got to enjoy the Blizzard of '77. That was a lot of snow!
It was a blast sledding off the roof and across two neighbors lots.

Remember that blizzard well. We lived on Academy Place in the Valley (a block off Valley Drive), and we were snowed in for a few days. I still have never seen anything quite like it.

I could have been one of those kids. 5th grade, Brookside section of Fayetteville. The snow drifts covered our front door, and the fire trucks came around and asked us kids to find the hydrants and dig them out. Thanks for posting this.

I remember the snow beginning on Sunday because Ed Sullivan was on that night.what a blizzard!

Thanks for all the comments. I agree with vp81955 about not seeing another storm like that one. The 1993 blizzard was close but still not the same from what I remember of the 66 blizzard.
