Froyo 2.2 on VM Samsung Intercept review and howto (data working)

READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING AND FOLLOW THE FORUMS ,HERE I LISTED ONLY SOME STEPS. IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE IS NOT MY PROBLEM, REMEMBER YOU WERE THE ONE THAT DID EVERYTHING I'M JUST TRYING TO HELP

This is a video reviewing THE BIG CHANGE that the froyo 2.2 makes on the VM samsung intercept. If you wanna do this, which I highly recommend, go to this page:

after you install 2.1 stock you have to install a custom recovery found here
http://forum.sdx-developers.com/intercept-development/intercept-recovery-%28i...

download the CM01.tar and put it in the folder that they say there
( C:\Program Files (Program Files (x86) if you are on 64 bit)\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary. )
and flashed to the phone using SWUpgrade
REMEMBER TO JUST HAVE ONE FILE ON THE BINARY FOLDER (the one that you install to the phone)

After you have the custom recovery (CM01.tar) the you put the update2.2nobasebandupdate.zip file on the sd card.
turn off the phone then started on recovery mode (vol dn, talk, end) and flash the update2.2nobasebandupdate.zip to the phone going to install from zip or something like that on the recovery. REMEMBER TO HAVE THE BATTERY CHARGED OR YOU MAY BRICK THE PHONE. if any problem you can contact me.

Virgin Mobile is realeasing 2.2 tomorrow 4-11-11 and Im excited about all the new features but honestly,I must say,the design is ugly.(the new notification bar with the ugly battery and how it has the new buttons at the bottom of the home screen for the phone and browser.) haha is there a way to get the buttoms off the home screen? Cause Id find those very annoying especially since I dont use either of the things its there for.

Dont even waste your time buying this phone in the first place. I've had this phone for less than a month already and im taking it back tommorow. Its to the point i cant do anything because its freaking out and and going to stuff i dont select and when i try to send a text it sends the cursor to the beggining of the sentence like the left arrow is stuck. I only have 5 apps that i downloaded and they all work like shit.

Official release from VM of Froyo makes this a great phone for around $170, I was a bit scared to buy it loaded with 2.1 after reading reviews but 2.2 is great, I've had no problems whatsoever with 20+ apps installed. Boots a bit slow once you have some apps installed (less than 2 mins) but once it's up and running its snappy, and the battery life is really good on this device when compared to many faster-cpu android phones.

the 2.2 update temporally bricked my phone, it was bricked for 1 hour then the phone decide to work again and im back to 2.1 I want the update but not enough to brick my phone again over it ( I did the correct over the air update which did not work ).

lol all you need to do is lock the phone and unlock it when angry birds starts to be able to play it
