  • For God sake guys, don't say something without knowing ! She is NOT Japanese. She has Mongoloid looks because she belongs to the RAJBANSHI (BAHE BENGALI) tribe, which originated from the erstwhile kingdom of Cooch - the same place that Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur belonged to ! She was the Princess ! They generally use the EK(one) TARA(wire) & sing to the glory of the GURU ... the central figure in the purest of Hindu traditions.

They are generally nomads from BIRBHUM, West Bengal !

  • @ureasell1 It´s true,sure for I know her,she are an japanis,.

  • I am surprised that you are appreciating baul songs - and those who live that life and yet you are fighting amongst yourselves whether the Baul is Bengali or from Assam!

  • She is a Japanese. As she is a Japanese once in Shantiniketan she was denied to sing Baul song in the Paush Mela program by Shantidev Ghosh. This came to news that time and it is more than 20 years ago.

  • beautiful...beautiful...beautiful...

  • @ beretep .. I must say that you are totally ignorant ! The lady is NOT Japanese.. she is a BAHE BENGALI or a RAJBANGSHI, as they are called in northern Bengal. They originate from the district of BIRBHUM and often perform on trains that cross BOLPUR, their district headquarters.

They are nomads .. and often go hungry. But it will not show on their faces when they are singing .. that's coz they are NOT singing for money .. but for a much higher cause.. that's because this what they are meant to!

  • সুপার...! :D

  • Toward the One!

I go into the Muslim mosque

    and the Jewish synagogue

    and the Christian church

    and I see one altar.
