This is my daughter Indiyah who at 2 was diagnosed with rickets. This video was shot during a camping trip. Even before you look at the video you can see that her legs is very bow. Rickets has weakened her bones and her bodyweight causes her weak bones to bow, hence the bowlegs. Rickets is a condition that causes the bone to immaturely grow and/or decalcify due to lack of vitamin D which is a major contributor to bone health. She is 4 now and her legs do not bow anymore.
@chowmikki I did give her the polyvisol multivitamin drops but the vitamin D in it wasn't enough. Currently, her legs do not bow any more as if she was never bow legged.

@chowmikki I took the prenatal vitamins prescribed to me as well as the iron supplement. She did not get vitamin D drops after birth. Vitamin D is always available but she wasn't diagnosed until two. She was breastfed exclusively until about one and a half. Being a nursing student, I did learn that vitamin D does not pass through the milk enough to supply the infant adequately but obviously I learned that too late.

Why did you not take Vit D during pregnancy. Did your daughter get the vit D drops after birth? Or was vit D not available?
