Very neat footage, especially the 'new development' - the Hydrostone!

I have a handwritten letter from my great uncle who was in the US Navy during WWI-he describes being in Halifax shortly after the explosion and the devastation he witnessed, including cries of children with mangled eyeballs and doctors who ran out of anesthetic-I had never heard of this story before I found this letter. Also, Halifax sends a tree to Boston every year, because Boston was the first city to send aid. I wonder if Halifax sent aid in 1919, after the Great Molasses Flood? Hmmm.

It is amazing to see the rebuilding at the end. I know the hydrostones very well and seeing that looking like a new suburb is weird. Esspecially how few trees there are, that area is so nice and dense with beautiful old trees
