I LoL'd so hard when I first saw this scene after picking up Shale, the Stone Golem. I thought it'd be neat to share with the rest of you guys haha.

  • lol is it normal for the music to just cut off abruptly like that? I saw that scene in-game awhile ago and can't recall, it certainly helps the humor LMAO.

  • lol it does. actually that was by accident. i combined 2 recordings into 1 since my FPS dropped mad crazy at that part and had to re-record which lagged in the beginning haha

  • LOL, yeah, I laughed at that first time I saw it too. I guess I can understand though. 30 years as an open air statue I guess you would hate birds! I think Shale's actually got a phobia for pigeons, certainly got very nervous about them one time I talked to it in Redcliff.

  • He also gets spooked by the sounds of pigeons while talking to him in camp :P. I dunno what they did to him all those years but it must have been traumatic.

  • Well what do pigeons usually do to statues? Think about it. LOL

  • LOL true that.

  • shale ever do any finishing moves aka deathblows?

  • @Karagianis although that was a chicken :|

  • Shales like, "...What?"

  • Interesting factoid: It's a she, not a he. for reasons for this, see spoiler below

Spoiler: golems require souls of living creatures to be created. The soul that went into shale is that of a dwarven woman. This is revealed during Shale's personal quest which is accessable after you complete the "A paragon of her kind" quest aka the dwarven section of the main quest.

  • You guys read the note on the table near shale in the area where you get him? It's written by some villager who was organizing some sort of festival. It goes something like "And of course, be sure and decorate the statue as usual. I think those pink ribbons would do well. Maybe a ribbon of small pumpkins around his neck..." etc..

I laughed so hard when I read that after meeting Shale.
