THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO
ST MATTHEW
CHAPTER 7
Jesus concludes the Sermon on the Mount—He commands: Judge not; ask of God; beware of false prophets—He promises salvation to those who do the will of the Father.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets...
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Jesus delivers the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew Ch 7 concludes the sermon and gives warnings for the future. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is pure. The False does not proclaim the gospel of Jesus. Only the true prophets do. The False follwers of Christ shall say in that day,
"Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name?"
The lord recognizes the agreement made with Israel and with all those who are baptized in his name into the covenant; These things were to occur before the second coming of Christ.
"and it fell not"
nor will it!
