Tim Latimer tells John Smith--the Doctor's alter-ego--about the Doctor. A little bit of the Doctor comes through John Smith when John holds the fob watch.

Tim Latimer: He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the center of time and he can see the turn of the universe. And... he's wonderful.

"Is that how he talks?"

From the Doctor Who episode "Family of Blood."

  • Best Dialogue on the show ever!

  • I think these two were my favourite scenes in the series, until seeing the Bad Wolf scene in Turn Left. (And I love that just for the Doctor's expression. David Tennant is such a brilliant actor.)

  • @SerenaRoberson Family of Blood in the third series.

  • Thanks for putting up the full clip. As badass as Tim's words are, in context they are not so complimentary. They express that the Doctor is scary and inhuman, enough to terrify poor Tim until he realized the Doctor was also good.

  • Next line: "I sound like a loony!"

  • i've really gotta applaud David's acting in these episodes above others.

  • I have to agree with Martha the Doctor is rubbish as a human!
