@Iamblychus I totally agree with your point with one exception. Structural transformation also involves learning from mistakes. So as where evolution does not have a destination, learning from our mistakes has the destination of not repeating them. Although on a slight tangent I think purely novel learning also doesn't have a destination, just like evolution. Believing in mythical gods was a partial mistake so we transcend and include. Although a relative truism, "the less mistakes the better".

@bipolarorwakingup Seriously, this stuff is the gold mine of self liberation. Shadow work down to the tribal roots is the ultimate. I've got a BA in Anthropology. So I suppose that explains my enthusiasm LOL.

@pgod45 OMG, the world needs anthropologists so badly right now! Everyone is stuck in a new-age fantasy about 'noble-savage' type tribal life. As video #16 describes, there IS a lot to be borrowed from tribal life, but the way movies like Avatar make it seem, all of evolution has been one giant mistake. We were better off as 'one-with nature' as they say. Transpersonal psychology venerates tribal shamans as operating at a 'higer-level' of consciousness, like Buddha. We need more anthropologists!

@bipolarorwakingup IMO Shamanic religious practice never turns into the full mysticism that goes beyond interpretation and into stark reality. So, your right, It gets stuck with a lot of really awesome and helpful, yet distracting, stuff. Rationality, on the other hand, chokes the crap outta our basic (tribal) nature in the most feeble way. If we could just de-magicalize tribal worldviews without throwing out any babies, rationality could then see and accommodate our fundamental psychology.

@pgod45 So...when do we start?! Make sure you check out video #16, because, basically, what you said here is what I'm saying in that video. I BIG insight that is rarely understood is that tribal people have 'concrete', never 'symbolic' thinking. Things are interpreted for them as they sense it. No other possibilities. Hallucinations (or visions) are normal in all tribes, just as they are with children. blah, blah...check out video #16. I'm sure you´ll enjoy it.
