Most anime, and especially One Piece are made for children. The Japanese just have a different opinion about what is appropriate for children.

@44Blademaster Agreed LOL the sad part is sonic x would not work on any channel just think if it was on cartoon network.

According to 4kids' logic:
- Showing the tiniest bit of blood is inappropriate for kids but having a world similiar to hell (i.e. Shadow Realm) is perfectly fine.
- Showing guns is inappropriate but having a rampaging demon attack a town is perfectly fine.
- The mildest swear word is inappropriate but the Seal of Orichalcos stealing your soul and feeding you to a giant monster (i.e. Great Leviathan) is perfectly fine.
Bottom line: 4kids, you make no sense.
