While the contrasts between Mexico and America are vast, the differences among each country's border towns are becoming fewer. Roland Garcia, special ranger with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, calls the Mexican side "lawless," and describes our side "semi-lawless." Garcia says the farming and ranching communities fear for their lives, and says Texas must dedicate more resources to protect our border.
We, as Texans, must do something. We can't wait for the feds to do what they should already be doing. This is OUR land, OUR state and we must force these thugs, drug-runners and other criminals to go elsewhere, or die trying. It's us, not them, that should have the upper hand. We are FAR more numerous and if we band together to conquer these invaders, we will succeed.
