I've finally uploaded some James Blackshaw and some action on my 12 string! It's based on the version of this tune from the live album, "Waking Into Sleep," an absolute must have!

Played on my Faith FS12HG 12 string, an ex-demo which I got for less than half-price! Absolutely beautiful guitar.

Filmed by my Dad, http://www.youtube.com/1ArtfulBodger.

  • Good work bro

  • Any chance of posting even a rough tab on this? Got the tuning, but picking pattern, and some of the chord fingerings are eluding me......

  • Very good picking, liked this a lot, never tried this tuning on my 12-string before, this song has a undefinable 60's/classic feel, I can't quite put my finger on,( excuse pun),funny thing, also, day after I first watched this video, I was in my local musical instrument shop, and they had a Faith 12 for sale, sounded good.

  • i liked this a lot, tnx

  • beeeaaauuutifulll!!! Great job!!

  • Very nice playing Russel! I like the triplet picking pattern which sounds magnificent on a 12 string! This piece is very backglancing to some of Fahey's forrays but has more structure and depth. Very nice job! *****

  • Well done. I hadn't given the acoustic ballad its due respect until I'd heard James Blackshaw. This song was the one that opened my eyes to what was possible with just an acoustic guitar. Great execution here.

  • That's absolutely magnificent. I wish I had a twelve-string now.
