Been thinking about Jack. A lot of you know Jack (I know I should say "a lot of you knew Jack" but for those that do, they "know" what I mean). So, I offer you this "rough" audio recording that I came across recently. I was teaching Jimmy (my 11-year old) how to play this Beatles song on guitar and it reminded me of Jack. The attached is a recording of Jack from the early '80s. Jack's life on Earth ended not too long after this was made. Decades later, Jack's life and soul live on.....still, I miss him.

I am transferring this on to Jimmy's iPod so he can learn the song from Jack.

Peace............Joe

Priceless! I am thinking now of sitting in the basement, listening to Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke and, of course, The Beatles. We sang many a duet over Budweiser and Harris pizza. Riding in The Marauder to go hit softballs in the park. Lonesome letters from Denver. The Stray Cats...thanks, Joe.

Thank you, Joe. Jack & I sat sext to one another when we had class together (think alphabetical seating) and, like you, I think of him often. I'll be sharing this with my sons too. Now where's a tissue when I need one?

I am a friend of Joe's via Minneapolis and I didn't ever know Jack but these eulogies raised my interest. If you follow the URL you'll see a touching article from 2001 on how his mother regained her faith after the loss of 2 sons.

I just played this for Jimmy for the first time. He loved it and asked about the guitar in the foreground of the photo. It was my first guitar (and still my favorite) and also the one he has in his room and plays every day. The boy now has a teacher in Jack's recordings.
