@Quy4life Why can't you just appreciate the art of it? Why do people always need to compare with UFC?! Different arts, different skills, different purposes...

@Quy4life there is some martial arts, for ring and exhibition aikido is not really one of those,if any expert aikido grabyou,you will soon end on the mat and with your arm twisted so couldn,t be good for tv. also aikido use the energy of the attacker, so gloves are not practical for aikido just to mention a couple or reasons.

To all the detractors, instead of flaming Aikidoka behind your computer screens, why don't you go for a trial class at your local Aikido dojo? I have a black belt in TKD and used to kickbox as well. My passion is now Aikido.

First of all nobody ever said (just you) that Aikido is not made to kill: with that martial art you are able to do that but you knowingly choose to avoid it.
Then, I am sure that you would lose your haughtiness with your wrists broken, and the rest of your body alive.
Killing is not the answer: you are a fanatic.
