No.. Its not like that. This celebration happening in office. In Corporate office, usually at the month end all the people who has born in that month will cut the cake. it happens in our office too.. Nothing wrong about it. And nothing to be worry being an indian :)

it might be strange to us because we are not used to the tradition, but think about yur own tradition, it will looks/seems weird to others that don't share the same customs as you.
When it comes to tradition or customs of a certain culture, DON'T JUDGE... because there's no right or wrong.
But they seem having, so let them be.
