I like this -- I was particularly interested in your use of the the term "settle." Is this the pause between stages of an attack? Is this a new term?

what i mean by settle is when he comes into the middle and pauses for a second. i call it a settle because he comes into the middle in a higher en guard position then settles into a lower one then decides what to do. a lot of fencers do this in different ways: pryiemka does it almost the same way for example. when igoe does it, it looks like a wave. dumitrescu comes to a complete stop. everyone has a different way to settle
