Mom, I was getting cold. Did you warm up the bath soap before you poured it on me? New babies lose their body heat quickly out the top of their heads. When you wet my head first I was getting cold. The other commentors were correct in being concerned about getting the cord wet. The water has some bacteria in it & you are not able to completely dry it.

@karejimenez youre right you put dishes in there and then you eat from the dishes too. Especially the dish sponge grosss ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

@jon76398 how can they choke??? babies are surrounded by liquid in the womb so don't understand how you think they'll choke. Have 2 kids myself so know that's a myth

Is it safe to fully submerge babies in water while the cord is still attached? I have four and I waited until the cord fell off to put them in water, otherwise i just wiped them with a warm soapy rag. But if it's safe then I guess it's ok. Everybody washes their babies in sinks.
