Dr Chris Hansen

DR. CHRISTIAN HANSEN worked for more than forty years to bring health care to children in poverty stricken and war torn areas. He passed away in 2010.

IN THE NAME OF THE CHILDREN tells the story of his remarkable journey to Native American reservations, the Mississippi Delta, the inner cities of New Jersey, Iraq, Nigeria, Rwanda, Haiti, and elsewhere around the world. Dr. Hansen has experienced the triumphs and frustrations of trying to free children from disease, the brutality of war, and the web of poverty; and he offers wise, practical advice for protecting our children in the future. This is a book by a man of conscience. With color photographs by the author and friends, it is also a visual treat.
