At the Freedom of the City festival of free improvised music. Evan Parker (saxophone), John Edwards (double bass), John Russell (guitar), Peter Evans (trumpet). Filmed by Helen Petts on the 5th May 2009.
@oliveralmaraz That may be what a 'real' Jazz theorist would say... but certainly not a 'real' jazz improviser. I would rather have music than historically accepted conservative harmony.
Michiyo Yagi will be performing at Kings Place in London on Saturday 5 March 2011. Playing solo pieces - including the Nick Drake song River Man. Also the jazz saxophonist Evan Parker will join her for some improvisation. Should be fantastic!
BRAVO!!!!!
