Nah, you don't make a technically laborious and probably quite expensive video without attaching some kind of complicated meaning to it.
The thing about "artsy" videos such as these is their meanings aren't very accessible to the average viewer. I always wonder if this is really a disadvantage in today's art world, rather than a show of quality...
lol the word literally means to enjoy wandering and the lyrics are about exactly that kind of love of exploration. i don't understand all these other interpretations although there's obviously a misanthropic quality to some of the lines.
I love how this video arouses emotions that make us wonder what its really supposed to mean or say. But beyond the fact that it's Bjork, this song really raises the awe and emotion of adventure.
the bag thingy is the dark site of everyone the whole sond is about the life from birth till death and the asian dragon should symbolize the dead at the end of the river of life and the site rivers ´re different ways in life that you ´re able to choose, and the buffalos are the things that give you a hold in life so i think :) sry that i used so much "ands" ^^
I love how she synchronizes her movements to her unique voice. I actually thought that that was her gay side or something because they look sexual when they flip over together. But my first impression of this video was that it had some kind of Asian aesthetic because of her dress and the water buffalo and the creature looks like it has the nose of an Asian dragon. I know that Bjork likes to reflect a lot on her own heritage which is Icelandic so I know that she is Icelandic and not Asian.
Actually Bjork does have an Asian background mixed with her Icelandic ethnicity. Her ancestors were the Huns. It is a known fact that some of the Icelandic peoples have Hunnish bloodlines and the Huns were related to the Mongols.
