  • Looks like tyre pressures haven't been lowered. If you dropped tyre pressures to around 15-18psi you should have been able to drive straight over that without an issue.

  • @DiscoAlpha the car dosn;t have the ground clearence to drive throught it

  • @ivorycruncher None of the Liberty's come with a front locking differential. The only difference, is that Selec-Trac II is basically an Auto 4WD, which engages/disengages the front drive shaft automatically when it senses the rear loosing traction. It does not lock the front differential. So, in this case Selec-Trac II would have done the same thing.

If you want the front diff to lock up, then you need to install a True-trac, autolocker, or just go buy a Grand Cherokee with Quadra-Drive.

  • @MurderByFluoride 4wd low is only for slippery parking lots.

  • @MurderByFluoride Drive on the highway, then put it in 4wd lock, then take some sharp curves. Keep the engine revs high.

  • @MurderByFluoride That's the Command-Trac. The Selec-Trac would have 4WD Auto instead of 4WD Lock.

  • Did you lower tyre pressures? Tyres look fully inflated. If you dropped down to around 16psi you should have driven straight over that.

  • Wow, one front wheel spinning, the other doing nothing. That's a fail for the Selec-Trac II, since it's specifically NOT supposed to do that. Now I'm kinda glad my 08 KK has the Command-Trac II, which locks the driveshafts together for maximum traction.

  • OH my. Time for a tow strap and another truck. That will get ya out.
