Gallaudet University graduate students in the Dept. of social work made this video as part of the honor society, Mu Pi.

Our hope is to spread awareness, address bullying within our schools and communities, and prevent future harm to children and adolescents.

  • You guys did a great thing by putting this video out there i see bullying everyday, and was bullied for a long time, you gave me the courage to stand up for those who are being bullied around me!:) you truly rock!

  • Dear bullies,

See that boy doing his homework in homeroom? Last night he helped his friend out of suicide.

See that girl you called fat? She is starving herself.

See that old man you just made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country.

See that young boy you made fun of for always being sick? He has to walk home in the snow because his family is poor.

RePost this if you are against bullying. I bet 75% of you won't. Your life is probably not as harsh as theirs.

  • Very well made girls. I've been bullied my entire life and now, in college, it hasn't stopped.

  • Too bad this does not address the bullying that deaf adults do against other deaf adults. You see much of the bullying that goes on in the deaf world are focused on deaf adults. You see Kappa Gamma fraternity has a history of bullying deaf adults in many different ways. We need to see videos that tell deaf adults to stop bullying other deaf adults because the way they communicate is so different from whats perceived as the 'norm' for deaf society.

  • Hi Stephanie. This is Janna Sweenie. I'm using my husband's YouTube account to tell you what a great video this is and how proud I am of your ASL and your wonderful work at Gallaudet. I shared this video with all my ASL classes at NYU. Good luck!
