@luyanoH faster than a 997 Turbo? lol right... BMW and Porsche have something in common, they don't give a shit about cafe standards but the Turbo has much better gearing for its power than a 335i with nothing more than a tune. 335i is fast once tuned no doubt, but you can't expect it to compete with 997 Turbos just because you added 100-150 horsepower. Not to mention the I-6 is extremely under rated regardless. 300hp/300lb-ft torque? Try 340bhp and 340 lb-ft torque...

i love how the 335 jumped like a second earlier and still got spanked
-
wow probably the worse tune on that 335i cuz i have seen jb3 faster than that

@LEBONSKIFINARM yeah, Im almost thinking of getting an old e30 325is because I miss my bimmers but I dont want to bother with all the problems again, the e36 broke the piggy bank more then once. I am looking at a e46 but Ive heard they have the same rear crossmember issues and a few others.sooooo comfortable though

@BigChiefWiggles i always think the bmw's & mercs built in the 80's were far more reliable than cars built in the 90's & later = the old diesel mercs & vw golfs seem to go on forever if looked after.
My E36 M3 was a hoot to drive & had a glorious engine 3.2 straight 6 that loved to rev to 7500 & sounded amazing in doing so. It did develop the usual VANOS issues & cost £1400 to put right. It also had a complete dashboard computer failure & air-con clutch unit replaced under warranty.

@LEBONSKIFINARM same here, I love the ride and the feel of bmws but they are tough to maintain, I suppose people should just buy one and trade it in before 80k miles cause after that its a nightmare. 911s are the same way, dont know about the newest ones but man Ive seen them break down, german cars are high maintenance and if you dont keep up they fall apart, old diesel mercs exluded.

@BigChiefWiggles 50/50 weight balance on a bmw is true, but no 3 series bmw is in the same class as a porche 911 & bm's suffer from recall fault after recall fault no doubt due to the car becoming a mass produced rep mobile !
A 911 - after 40 years of continuous development is one of the very best performance cars on sale today & has been for a few years now & don't get me wrong i loved my E36 M3 to bits, but it wasn't as bulletproof as i'd hoped.
the 335 driver cheated
