My Tribute to Chris Whitley. BallBeen Hammer by Rodney Gene Jr. This was a powerful evening when I recorded this, very powerful. I perfomed all instruments and vocals myself and when I was singing some backups and playing the rainstick I was touched on the shoulder and the top of the head. The room was full of incredible spiritual energy and love. I really felt I was with Chris's energy that night. Much love brother. Rodney Gene Jr.

Haunting, driving, and full of spirit. I thought Joe Bonamassa's version was sensational. But this cover deserves special attention and recognition as a solid blues, spiritual, aboriginal work of the highest order. Step aside, Joe. For the first time (at least for me) you've been outdone.

Excellent! This is so soulful, deep, intense! Like a pack of shamans dancing around a fire! This is the best cover of this song or any Chris whitley song I have ever heard. You did Chris and his music deep respect!
