  • those Vbar tires run like shit when they are mounted backwards like that....turn them around the right way and you could (should) be able to crawl right up that ...i know mine could>>>I might even be able to my pickup truck up it if I tried hard enough.

  • @MrKp5259 Thanks for your comment. You should see all the comments I get, in every other video people say this, or the opposite in the videos I had the tires the other way round. To be honest, I can't tell the difference, but to properly test it I'd have to try each obstacle the same day and turning the tires around on every one. And I'm waaay too lazy to do that. :)

  • but seriously, if ya think about how the tread pattern hits ground when they are facing forward they actually act like little shovels. Kind of hard to picture cause your always looking at the top of the tire, which is reversed compared to when they actually rotate around.

  • @MrKp5259 I have thought a lot about it. When they're the 'right' way they shovel out to the sides, to dig down to find traction. That is usually not what we want, when we're in deep sh****... This way it should pull the dirt, snow or mud in towards the middle, and try to stay on top. When climbing, the V will pull any rocks, tree stumps or whatever in towards the middle, pulling the rig into the line you are steering. That last parts feels like it works in reality.

  • I've seen these tires run backwards on a couple buggies that resulted in them just sitting spinning on everything, they would turn them tires around the right way & he couldn't get that thing stuck even when he was trying to :) !!..But what you said about how they act w/ the bars facing which ever wayis veryinteresting. Definatly could effect diffent vehicles w/ different results

  • You know...I have never really thought about any of the points you mentioned..not sure about the validity,I have always had V-Bars on a little bit lighter vehicles(Dune Buggies & Quads)..on these lighter vehicles when the tires start "Digging" they works great..

  • @Amund7 hahaha...ya I ran my spare tire on my truck for almost a week cause I didn't feel like swapping on the new one!! So I know how ya feel..hahaha
