Last night, I saw a performance of Hairspray by a local highschool program. The girl playing Motormouth Maybel had the most incredible voice that I have heard in a long time and she received a standing ovation from over 500 people after performing this song.

Tonight I was physically assaulted for being gay. This is the 1st song that came on my iTunes after the one I was initially listening to. I was absolutely amazed. I don't believe in coincidence.

this song makes me think bout all the struggles people from every background and region of this earth have been through and how they have overcome oppression, poverty, and death....even though there are many that still have yet to overcome this, while listening to this song, it's as if there is hope that maybe, even just for a day, everyone can see that light kindling a better future and life for everyone. so...don't let whatever trials you are struggling with pull you down and let hope guide u.
