  • The reason you, and the airmen, should learn ground fighting is because it may not be your choice if you go to the ground.

  • yea cause AF is never in the streets of Iraq in the same situations, huh? get off your high horse man.

  • Lt. Col. and TSgt on the video, thanks for supporting you troops who actually do the work, exactly why I got out of the AF. I'm surprised the Air Force would let anyone do it, because it could be dangerous. Better get a reflective belt on as soon as you get off the mats.

  • where can i go to do this. can i do this in moody afb.

  • loving this. i learned some brasilian jiu jitsu for a bit. i love it

  • Let's all agree that any training is good training, especially if there is a void in training. I applaud any commander that brings training into their unit. The Air Force understands that they need a fighting program for Airman, Taught by Airman. AFCP is maturing and is currently being implemented with the TACP career field. Currently there is Module 1 (Ground) and Module 2 (Standup). There will be other modules hitting the streets. In the end, it will be a solid program for the AF.

  • Actually let me tell you with training MMA for 3 Years now and also being a AFROTC cadet the application to jiu jitsu is endless whether with gear or without gear... We've heard this argument in our gym all the time but our head instructor (who's in the USMC) putting it to the test the techniques can still be used in full gear

  • I think the 60 MSS/DPF air commands has a good program to stay in shape and learn some martial techniques, the USAF mission is not the same as USMC but I think the MCMP is now the best martial program in the US Military. I would ask LT. Col. Theisen to ask some of the Marines from Quantico to come train their airman. Thank you and Semper Fi

  • Listen to what the soldiers say! They took this course to learn Nonlethal techniques. Its for dealing with civilianz, pows or drunk soldiers:)

  • LOL you obviously didnt get the point I was making and its not directed at the AF in any situations noones gonna be able to use this with all the gear we carry and if you were in the streets of Iraq you'd know this.

  • yeah grappeling with my 40 pounds of gear on and someone that could have a weapon....yeah once again the AF ceases to amaze me at what retarded stuff they invest money in.
