ARTE Tracks - Dollers: Reality-Manga

Report about japanese dollers from 4.4.2008 (german dubbed, english subbed) . Originally this report got french and german audio. The video also featured an interview with Kuniko which was removed because of YouTube timelimit. In the original video you can see the real faces of the actors. I blurred the faces, because I want to keep their privacy. Note that the prices for masks mentioned in the video do not have to be actual prices. This report is from 2008 and prices may have changed. I see lots of Cosplayers at quite a few of the big comic conventions thesedays,

Comic-Con Int, New York Comic-Con etc more so than like 10-15 years ago, although I don't see that many of them going the full Kigurumi route.

Kigurumi is growing :) there are lots of people interested in it, it's mostly a matter of cost and available maskmakers ^^

I dearly hope that in the future Kig masks will look more real. Kinda like those from greyland films.

Oh I think there are very nice mask out there that look like anime :) Maybe search for "build up studio sigma", they got pretty nice things ^.^

HA HA HA HA HA!!! Kigurumis are so funny. But they don't actually talk, because if you would hear with a deep booming voice: "hi, my name is Rick, I just shaved this morning" coming out from a very femenine garment, it kind of takes the magic away.

i dont see why there are hardly any male kigs (dollers) theres a few girls into it kigurumi but they can just do regular cosplay of female characters because they,re girls so its mostly men that do this but why do they only cosplay girls with the exeption of one or two people it puzels me
