the new gtr is in direct competition to porche.. this holden is 3-4 years old.. how well did the last gtr go???

I love commodores. I drive a VY Berlina (Bloody P plate laws). But i personallly think the gearbox in this car is a complete letdown and destroys what would be an amazing perfomance car. The Skyline GTR is in a completely different class. It's main competitors are Porche GT3 and Corvette ZR1. Just because two cars are AWD dosen't mean they are in the same class. The Coupe 4 is an amazing car, especially the one in this video. But comparing it to the Skyline is overkill.

Although tgis Coupe4 seems to have enough grunt, grip and finesse to show the Skyline's how its done. Why didn't anyone race one of these in the Bathurst 12hr?

vspec2wrx, I can tell from your username that you are a Japanese car fan. Thats all good, coz as you can see I'm a Holden fan. But if Skyline was an all out sports car, then why was it allowed to race against the RWD, naturally aspirated Commodores and BMW's? Fact is Holden finally built a car that matches the Skyline's and other AWD tuner turbo rockets' chassis. This Monaro can mix it with a Skyline GT-R on the track, hope to see it do so soon. All the Coupe4 needs is a power boost and its on.

No way can you compare it to the GTR. This car wasn't made as an all out sports car. It only has a four speed Auto. Although when this car came out and "Motor" magazine ran its PCOTY, It did fair up very well against the other australian built cars.

OK so this is a AWD HSV Monaro with turbo and a 412ci motor. How does/would this thing go around a race track? How would it compare to say the Skyline GTR, I would think this car would even up the odds abit wouldnt it?

Currently running 401kW at all 4 wheels mate, grip is sensational, good enough for a 10.9 second 1/4 mile at full weight on street tyres. 1.5 second 60' ... bloody amazing really.
