Music from the 1985 motion picture Back to the Future composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri. This is the original material from the film (not a re-recording). Sound quality may vary. Derived from an old sound master.

  • I really want to get the CD!

  • Jump on it asap. It is a limited release edition. They are only printing 3000 copies. It is absolutely worth every penny.

  • Best Soundtrack Ever. Thank you.

  • @MBLAAMABA

Stay tuned. I have obtained the rest of the missing material from the film and will be re-mixing some of these cues and enhancing others including a rendition of the "Earth Angel" song re-mixed with Alan Silvestri's material contained in the scene where Marty's hand is slowly being erased from existence as well as the material from when Marty first arrives in 1955 on the cue "Delorean Ditched".

  • Wow that would be so awesome!!! =D Hey can u try to get the soundtracks for Back to the Future II and III =D That would make my month! =D

  • @MBLAAMABA

Sure. Just give me a few days to finish the work on the cues to the first film and I'll upload the scores to 2 and 3.

  • Today is November 12, 2010.

55 years ago today, lightning struck the top of the Clock Tower at 10:04pm Pacific (1:04am Eastern where I live) sending 1.21 Gigawats of electricity through the cables (connecting the Clock Tower to 2 parallel Lamposts in the street below) and into the hook connected to the Time Machine.

This sent Marty McFly ahead 29 years, 11 months, 14 days, 3 hours and 20 minutes into the future.

Doc Brown's Time Travel Experiment was a complete success.

  • i've seen this movie too many times. every time i listen to any of the soundtracks, i can see the scene playing in my mind, complete with dialog and sound effects.

  • This song is so epic it was used during the Wesker vs Doom fight in Maximilliain's Assist Me! A very fitting choice for seeing Wesker get blown up in a human sized blender.

  • lets see if you bastards can do 1.21 jigawatts!!

  • This while score made the scene unforgetable! What a classic. This movie like other sci-fi are the reasons I became an engineer. BTTF didn't look like fantacy when I was a kid. A machine that worked.

  • Zemeckis always has Silvestri score his movies and at the beginning, Spielberg didn't think too highly of Silvestri feeling a more John Williams-like composer would be better. That opinion permanently changed with this score. During an early screening for Spielberg, thinking it was a temp track, he told Zemeckis that THIS is what the score should sound like, not that stuff Silvestri writes. Zemeckis then explained that it WAS the score and Silvestri wrote it. Spielberg loved it.

  • @owenitzura I'm like it too. The idea of him being trapped in 1955 is scary. I guess it means he would have to live with doc because he sure cant live with his parents!

I cringe when doc is putting the cable back together, man they cut it close!

  • This sound track kick asses

  • I have the cassette of this soundtrack! I love it

  • Holy shit, listening to this just made me travel back in time!

Now i'm eleven years old again, i'm watching Back To The Future for the very first time - i see how Marty fails to start the Delorean as the alarm clock goes off - i see Doc Brown hanging on a cable 30 feet above the ground - and i'm jumping up and down on the sofa because i CAN'T TAKE THE F***IN' TENSION! AAARGH!!!

  • @Fuzzyfoot88 I thought I was the only person in the world who actually thinks this way XD. Every time I watch this scene, and I mean EVERY TIME, I'm at the edge of my seat, cheering for Marty and HOPING he will reach the clock tower as the lightning strikes!

  • No matter how many times I see this part of the film, I never truly know if Marty will actually make it back to 1985. It is such an amazingly fist clenching white knuckle moment in film history.

Every scene in the film is against Marty succeeding that by the time we get to the lightning bolt, we just don't know if he'll make it.

Thank you Zemekis and crew for keeping me on the edge of my seat for 25 incredible years! Make there be more to come!
