I've said it before and I'll say it again...Lee Hayward is one of the smartest/most genuine trainers on You Tube...he's one of the few guys that's loyal to his followers.

goood idea i mgiht try it next time i go to workout
I actually do rowing and I have to say with rowing its about 80% legs and 20% back. The arms arent actually meant to do much at all which leads me on to the question, why dont you just keep your legs straight and curl then? or even just use cables?

The exercise works as I outlined here, but if you want to experiment with other variations go right ahead. I'm also a fan of doing high rep rubber band bicep curls as a finishing move for the arms as well. There are literally hundreds of exercise variations you can do, I'm just showing a couple in this video :-)

Lee, is it true that slow twitch fibers do not grow in size. Basically, is this guy full of it? /watch?v=35nPEQaBtkY

Muscle fiber make up isn't as black and white as fast and slow. There are different types of fibers in between as well. This exercise that I'm showing here isn't a true "slow twitch" muscle fiber exercise. To give you an example, you can walk for over an hour non-stop easily. Walking works slow twitch muscle fibers and it will NOT stimulate growth. However, rowing is more intense, you can't row non stop for over an hour, it's a higher intensity and will help with muscle growth.

@Rggilby
I wouldn't recommend it, ephedrine is safer and just as effective for fat loss.
