  • Nice video, allthough I don't know much about American trains as I'm Dutch.

The only difference that keeps surprising me is the massive height those trains have because you are not limited by the overhead wires.

I've been on a Dutch passenger train once when we were doing 140 kilometers an hour when the airhose between one of the cars got disconnected and because of that we made an emergency stop.

Nice to see people join hands and solve a problem.

    What's the abbreviation from NS?

  • @Dutch3DMaster Thank you, sir for the kind comment. Yes our trains are very large. However, it meet's the US goverment law. Everyone lends a hand when there is a problem so that's a good thing here. I seen a lot of Dutch train videos on YouTube and it looks interesting! If it was out of the country I would railfan it. Norfolk Southern (NS) is the abbreviation.

  • The citzens had to help with the tools? For a minute I thought one of the guys bumped their head on the car. Good thing it is NS and that they are nice people. If it were CSX, they would be like "Get the hell off the property!"

  • Yes some other railfans came to the rescue with tools, since one of the Citizens works at a Machine passed.

  • Several friends have received rides back to the head end after walking their train for various reasons and "Many Thanks" to railfans for the tremndous support through local communities like this!! NS Rocks!!! Railfans Rule...Keep watching those trains and YouToo might spot a defect that saves a catastrophic failure.

  • dude so freaking true i live near a CSX yard and we sit on public property adn they still have a fucking fit. NS has nevre bothered us. WE sit with the Head security guard and have lucnh with him but CSX always gts pissed. EXcept for the ehad guy too he nice.

  • wheres this at?

  • @Nba12982

Wait? What? Fixing the air hoses doesn't mean it would have run away. If the air hose separates, the air is lost, and that puts the train into emergency. Not without brakes

  • woah! look at the GTW boxcar at 2:26

  • Prevented a runaway and that is a good thing.
