Lee was and will always be Mr. Mass with class. I got in to weight training in the 80's as a teeneager to combat low self esteem issues. I moved around a lot and had no social skills. I got away from weight training for a while and rediscovered it at the end of 2008. Lee and all the other bodybuilders from the 80's era were always with me. Now a 41 years old, I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I actually box as an amateur now. Lee, Rich, Haney, displayed classic body shapes. Live On!!

Certain Guys still Give hope to the sport and its aesthetic appeal, to name a few. Phil heath, Evan Centopani, Dexter Jackson and Toney Freeman.

@Peter9761 You are right. They all looked so good. Small waists and no bloated guts like today.

@Peter9761 very very true statement, i feel that the mr olympia has 'lost the plot' now, and the judging is a joke!

As great as Gaspari and Haney were, I don't think they deserved to place above Labrada in 1987 (or any year for that matter). Haney had tremendous mass for that era. Rich was amazingly ripped and vascular. But Labrada had PERFECT symmetry and proportions! Where's the weak spot? Both Haney & Gaspari had arms that were glaringly too small for the rest of their massive upper bodies. With Labrada everything flows & fits!
And I swear by his C2 creatine EE & A2 Pump! Stack them, H.I.T. & GROW!!!

The unofficial 1990 Mr. Olympia winner....LEE LABRADA! One can certainly make the case for 1992 as well. Just one in a long list of "uncrowned" Olympia winners.

Labrada the Physique King. Such balance and beauty displayed as it should be..

legendary physique........ legendary mustache
you can tell by the low amount of veiws and comments that no one cares much about the bodybuilders of the 80's ..its the same with all the vids of the guys back then..which is too bad cause these new young fans of todays ifbb stars dont know what they missed out on..this was when the sport actually ruled..before the synthol and gh and all the bullshit useless supplement ads took over the magazines..what a shame

An excellent all round aesthetic physique...compared to todays monstrosities he appears to come from a different planet.
