Allow me to welcome all of you to my new Let's Play of Super Mario Sunshine, a 3D platformer that was released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002 and my major summer project. Now, I realize that this game has already been done countless times, and honestly I'm both excited and nervous because I'm not sure how this project will pan out, but I'm confident that I'll be able to put together a compelling LP for this game. It won't be easy though; I've never actually beaten this game 100%, so expect a lot of failure. I'm also excited because this will be my first LP of a main series Mario game.
It seems that among Mario fans, Sunshine has a love/hate kind of relationship, but in keeping with the proud history of the Mario franchise, it's still pretty damn good. In the story, Mario and his friends arrive at the tropical resort island of Isle Delfino, but all is not well. There is graffiti everywhere, and Mario has been accused of making the mess. With the help of FLUDD (Flash Liquidizer Ultra-Dousing Device), Mario must play janitor to clear his good name and catch the real culprit. As we'll see, the plot is much more complicated than it seems.
In this episode, we start the game and cover the basics of the storyline and controls, before moving on through the first mini-boss and opening the first level in the game. I apologize for this video being so long, but I tried to see how much I could cover in the first episode. For this LP, I have a new policy for video length: If any episode after this one exceeds twenty minutes in length, it will be split into two parts. This is to keep the videos from being too long.
Okay, now that all that is out of the way, I hope you all will join me on this grand adventure. I'm not entirely sure how this project is going to go, but there's no turning back now. Let's just hope for the best! Stay tuned for the next episode!

I made the intro myself using Windows Movie Maker. I record almost all of my footage using the Dazzle capture card and I edit everything with Pinnacle Studio.
