My pink-eyed white rat Pocket demonstrates how 'stressed' he is by boggling lol. For the uninitiated, boggling is the eye-popping movement that accompanies teeth grinding when a rat is very very content and blissful.

  • I had a pet rat in high school and it knew it's name and took orders like a dog. I would let it run around my bed and it would pick and clean my hair like I was one of them.

  • You know, that's a high compliment in the rat world :)

  • Really cute! Mine did that a few times!

  • Your rat must have been very happy x

  • Dude...I just got a rat and assumed that the clacking was a bad thing. xD:

  • Nope - it means they love you very very much :) PS -Get two rats :D

  • Actually it is a good thing...boggling happens when they are bruxing...Bruxing is them grinding down their teeth which never stop growing...The jaw is connected to muscles in the head which cause theyes to go in and out of the socket..It is a totally healthy and important part of being a rat...

  • What a cutie <3 Awww. Kisses to your sweet dumbo boy. :)

  • Aww, I have a pink-eyed white but she's a top-ear, not dumbo. Dumbos are so cute <3

  • Beautiful rat :)

I had two rats - one female and one male, I love them, but I won't have them anymoew, because it's too hard for me when they die :)

  • what's the difference between bruxing and boggling? i know bruxing is when they grind their teeth to make a chittering sound, my rat does it alot. but what is boggling?

  • einfach nur süüüüüüß

  • that rat is boggling AND bruxing. Very adorable by the way.

  • You know, boggling can also be an expression of contentment.
