  • @saacbe check out cal earth website I took their 2 week course they use 10 parts mixed agregate local soil and 1 part portland cement, two strands of 4 barbed wire and build domes that are earthquake proof, fire proof, hurricane proof, rodent and termite proof. they are cool in summer warm in winter last hundreds of years with minimal upkeep, cost little to make are very cool to look at. Also check out Geoff Lawton Food Forest to compliment am off to OZ to study with him in Sept for 20 days !

  • does it need rock foundations?

  • Great vid!!!! The whole family loved it! We are in hawaii and want to do rammed earth on top of a 3 ft high and 1.5 ft wide rock wall foundation. Got any tips for us?

  • And the feeling inside such houses is great. Cool in the summer, warm in winters... better than all the artificial means (except for extreme weathers). that's the natural gift which we all should explore.

  • very cool. . . I love seeing alternative means of building. . .

save a tree. . . build with mud!!!

  • im impressed
