I've never had a blue screen in my entire life. In fact, my current PC runs perfectly.
My friend gets them all the time. Because he torrents a ton of stuff and doesn't know jack about taking care of a PC. Nothing against Macs, they are great, but they are certainly idiot-proofed.

@xxxyboy3000 or crappy drivers that are necessary because windows supports almost no hardware OOB so oems must provide drivers. Quite a few of these companies are not software companies and don't have the resources to write good drivers. BSODs can also be cause by mistakes windows its self makes, although not as often as the former. Usually when windows its self makes a mistake it just messes something up and moves on rather than crashing completely.

Blue screen of death is actually not a bug....it comes because of faulty or malfunctioning of the hardware such as ram, processor, pci-cards, etc...so as soon as the hardware misbehaves windows shows the blue screen to prevent hardware from getting damaged...get more info about bsod on wikipedia

So... why don't you steal a bunch of "research' from others and be a billionaire yourself? Maybe the answer is that it's not as simple as you write the story to be.
